Here is Monday's Morning Message for July 20, 2026,

Good morning, Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Happy Monday to you.
This week I want to encourage you to swallow your pride. Have you ever
overhead a conversation about you that made your blood boil? Or a
rumor made its way back to you that was not intended for you to hear?
Our initial reaction would be to call out the gossiper, to defend ourselves
with our chests puffed up and fists clenched. I've been there a time or
two. And usually, these confrontations end with more conflict and hurt
feelings. Proverbs 13.10 warns us of this exactly: "Pride leads to
conflict; those who take advice are wise." No one likes to hear bad
things about themselves especially if they are not true. However, if we
learn to deal with these situations with humility rather than pride these
bombs are typically defused without incident and better yet, leaves the
aggressor thinking, "what peace does this person carry to be unfazed."
"Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom" (Proverbs 11.2).
"So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God and at the right
time He will lift you up in honor" (1 Peter 5.6). The devil wants you to
strike back, to wreck relationships, and to disable the inner peace you've
been building within yourself. Take that power away from him. Let your
actions speak for your character and your faith. Ignore the comments
and rumors, meet your aggressors with grace and humility. Swallow your
pride, follow Jesus' example and keep fighting the good fight!
